What we each agree to
Short, readable and written to be fair. If a term here would surprise you, that is our failure, so tell us and we will fix the wording.

The agreement
These terms apply when your business uses The Label Board, on any plan. Using the software means accepting them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a business, you confirm you are allowed to.
Your account
You are responsible for who you give access to and what they do with it. The app gives you roles and permissions so you can control that properly, and an audit trail so you can see what was done. Keep sign in details private, and tell us quickly if you think an account has been misused.
Each person who uses the app should sign in as themselves. Sharing one login between several people breaks the record of who did what, which is one of the main reasons to have the software at all.
Fees and billing
- Fees are in Naira and are charged for the business, not per person, at the plan you choose.
- Monthly plans are billed each month in advance. Yearly plans are billed once, in advance, at eleven months for twelve.
- Prices exclude VAT where it applies.
- Moving to a higher plan takes effect immediately and we bill only the difference. Moving to a lower plan takes effect at your next renewal.
- If a payment fails we will tell you and give you a reasonable chance to fix it before anything is suspended.
- Founding business pricing, where it has been agreed with you in writing, is kept for as long as your subscription runs without interruption.
We may change list prices, with at least thirty days notice to existing customers before it affects a renewal. A price you have already paid for is never changed retrospectively.
Cancelling
Cancel whenever you want, by telling us. Your plan then runs to the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not refund part periods as a rule, but if something has genuinely gone wrong, ask us, because we would rather be fair than technically correct.
Who owns what
Your business's records are yours. Clients, measurements, orders, staff details and books all belong to you, and you can export them in full at any time, in ordinary file formats. We hold them to run the service for you and for nothing else.
The software itself, its design and its name remain ours. Using it does not transfer any of that, and it may not be copied, resold or rebuilt from.
Fair use
Do not use the service to break the law, to store other people's information without a right to it, to attack or overload the system, or to resell access to businesses that are not yours. Do not attempt to get at another business's data. These are the only real rules, and they exist to protect everybody using it.
Availability and support
We work hard to keep the service up, and the app is built to keep working on your device when the network or our servers are unavailable. We do not promise perfection, and we do not offer a formal uptime guarantee at this stage. We would rather say that plainly than print a number we cannot stand behind.
Support is by email and WhatsApp during working hours, Lagos time. Premium businesses are answered first. We aim to reply within one working day.
Partners and referrals
There is one referral programme, set out on the referral page. In summary: every business gets a referral code, and a code earns eight per cent of what each business it brings actually pays us, every month for twelve months on a monthly plan or once on a yearly one. It is earned only while that business is paying, held for thirty one days against reversals, and paid out once a year. A business that stops paying or takes a refund inside that hold earns nothing for the period in question. A code cannot be used by the person, the business, the email address or the payment method that owns it.
Attribution comes from a link or a code, never from a claim made afterwards. We may withhold commission where a referral was obtained dishonestly, and we will always explain why.
Liability
We are responsible for running the service with reasonable skill and care. We are not responsible for business decisions you take using it, for lost profit, or for records you delete yourself. Where we are found liable for something, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before it happened. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
Keep your own exports. It is your business, and a second copy of your records costs you nothing.
Ending it
You can leave at any time. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, does not pay, or puts other businesses at risk, and other than in serious cases we will warn you first. When an account ends, your data stays exportable for a reasonable wind down period before it is deleted.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and disputes belong to the Nigerian courts. Before anyone goes near a court, talk to us. Almost everything is solved by a conversation with somebody who can actually fix it.
